	A new book by Dr Jacques Servier: on the shelves in May 2007 "Le Médicament et la Vie" This fascinating book on Dr Jacques Servier’s achievements recounts the life of an extraordinary entrepreneur and visionary man of our time. It is in the form of a frank exchange between Jacques Servier and Jacques Marseille, a historian and lead writer at Le Point, a popular French news magazine. Dr Jacques Servier has already published several other books: - Le Médicament : Inventer ou Mourir - Le Médicament : une Industrie de pointe en voie de liquidation ? - La Passion d’Entreprendre The English version will be available in a few weeks.

Dear Members of CIRS Scientific Committee,

These seminars, as you will see in this article by Prof Nicolaidis, were brought about through his tremendous efforts, to bring together North American and European specialists in physiology for an exchange of views on current and future work.

I have myself been honored for many years to contribute actively to the organization of these seminars representing Les Laboratoires Servier.

	NEW MEMBER OF CIRS (2005-2006) Prof JoAnn Manson October 1, 2006: We have the great honor of having Dr JoAnn Manson as a member of our Scientific Committee of CIRS. Chief of the Division of Preventive Medicine, Co-Director of the Connors Center for Women’s Health and Gender Biology, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Elizabeth F. Brigham Professor of Women’s Health Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Her research focuses on women’s health. She will bring to our research foundation at Servier, her tremendous experience in women's health care issues and gender biology.. We welcome her to our prestigious scientific team.
